Is there anything special you can tell me about the rocks?

I personally select, soak, scrub, sanitize, hand paint, and seal all of my rocks. Varying rock shapes and paint colors make each rock a unique, one-of-a-kind object. Each piece is signed by me and in some cases, dated.

I’ve always loved nature, walking, and discovering the unexpected in a piece of art. Rock art painting has enabled me to combine these interests (and more) to create one-of-a-kind, endearing objects for people of all ages and walks of life.

As a believer in simple, natural, economical living, I’m recycling an ordinary item into something extraordinary.

What can I do with my painted rock?

These hand painted rocks make unique and charming gifts.

You can display them alone, in a traditional stable you already own, or click here to see more display ideas.

Can I display my painted rocks outdoors?

All of my painted rocks have been sealed with one coat of polyurethane sealer.

Rocks labeled as outdoor have at least two coats of polyurethane sealer and may be displayed outdoors.

I recommend occasionally reapplying a clear coat sealer when your rocks are displayed outdoors to protect the colors and prolong the life of your piece. I seal my rocks with a product called Delta Ceramcoat Indoor/Outdoor Satin Varnish. There are also clear, spray-on acrylic sealers (such as the Krylon brand) in gloss and matte finishes available at craft stores.

Is there anything important I need to know about displaying painted rocks?

Yes, it's important to remember these safety issues.

Small rocks may be a choking hazard to young children. Be sure to keep small rocks away from young children (under 3 years of age) who may try to put the rocks into their mouths.

Large rocks can be quite heavy and should not be displayed on a high shelf where there is a chance they could topple onto someone or something. Rocks can prove hazardous or destructive if dropped or thrown.

How long have you been painting rocks?

Art class was always my favorite while growing up. Work and raising a family put my artistic activities on hold until I discovered rock painting in 2007.

Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

Painted rocks can weigh quite a bit or be an odd shape, therefore, shipments outside the United States will often incur a high shipping and handling cost. In addition, certain country custom regulations may prohibit the shipment of rocks.

I prefer to ship my painted rocks within the United States and Canada using U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail:
US addresses: Free shipping
Canada small flat rate box shipping & handling: $21.95.
Canada medium flat rate box shipping & handling: $45.25.

For International Customers: Painted rocks can be quite heavy or an odd shape, therefore, shipments outside the US will incur a very high shipping and handling cost ranging from $125-$350. The shipping cost is high because the package would be sent via FedEx or United Parcel Service (UPS). These carriers offer faster delivery, insurance and a tracking method which the United States Postal service does not. Please note: each country restricts items which may enter the country and I cannot guarantee a painted rock is permitted into your country. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making a purchase..
